So you saw part 1 here right? Well if not, go back, watch, it’s a good time! Once we hit up Millennium Park, it start raining! And then Kim and Rob took off running, I walked. It cleared up and we hit up Kinzie St. Bridge for just a few more photos and then it was off to the reception at Holiday Inn Mart Plaza! It was fun and Kim and Rob even had a surprise first dance!
And now I bring you a lovely assortment of the majority of my 2010 couples! I only have a few left to get in before their weddings and I’ve been in contact with them about it! (if you haven’t contacted me and talked about it, no sweat, just shoot me an email if you have a time/place you’re thinking of! I’m hoping there’s green and warmth in March!)
I am so excited for my 2010 season, I kicked it off with Nora and Tim‘s wedding and if that was a sign of how this was going to be, then I’m giddy!
There were sessions downtown (me and Millennium Park and the Cloud Gate are very good friends!)
And then I spent a whole lot of time at Cantigny! You know how much I love Cantigny, it’s a great location for engagement shoots or wedding day pictures if your schedule allows!
And then there were sessions all over the place!
Well that wraps up everything I shot in 2009! Next week, I’m featuring my advice segments such as constructing a timeline, accessories (loving this), first look information and more! So if you have any questions in general you would like me to answer just let me know and I’ll be sure to cover it!

Ok, I’m breaking this into 2 posts, 2009 weddings and 2010 weddings and their engagement sessions! It was a fun year of engagement sessions and I really do love them! They’re pretty important to be able to relax in front of the camera when the big day comes and you get to know my crazy self a bit more!
Not a lot of talking is going to happen I don’t think! But I’ve been pretty much everywhere so we’re going to separate them that way! Here’s some on the lovely beaches of Chicago!
And followed by some in Millennium Park and Grant Park which is always a favorite for engagement photos!
And then some other areas downtown, whether it be on State Street by the Chicago Theatre or a random alleyway or up in Montrose Harbor!
Downtown is definitely not the only place to take some amazing engagement pictures! The suburbs have a ton of great locations! Cantigny being one of my favorites, Busse Woods is fun too! There’s lots of parks and areas that definitely work great for engagement shoots!
And I can’t forget about ones with furry friends
now isn’t it fun to see their engagement sessions now that you’ve seen all their weddings?! It’s like everything is completely full circle and I love seeing the engagement session then the weddings!
this officially wraps up 2009! Now onto my 2010 clients! 2009 was wonderful and I can’t wait for 2010!
I’m sure Jessica has been stalking this blog for these ever since we took them the last weekend of September! We decided to do what I call the Grant Park tour which takes us all the way around and ends up in Millennium Park I hope everyone has at least gone there ONCE! I feel like I’m there at least every week whether for engagements or weddings, but me and the cloud gate are good friends!
Jessica and Lane were so much fun and pretty much up for anything I would ask of them! Their wedding isn’t until Summer 2010 but it’s that time of year to get in engagement shoots!
::swoon::
there was a bit of contact involved in the walking picture, haha!
This was way too cute. I told Lane to sit and then for Jessica to sit in between his legs. She just plopped herself down in his lap!
Hope you enjoy them! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year!
Kim and Rob are such an awesome couple and their wedding isn’t until mid 2010! Their wedding is going to be so much fun as well, when I first met with Kim and Rob we spent like 2 hours talking after I had finished up a wedding and they dealt with my mumblings! We connected at that moment!
They were seriously up for anything that I asked of them. And by the end of the day, I asked for a lot! But if I suggest it early enough, you know it’s a good idea at the end of the day! We started out on Rob’s rooftop where they got engaged and then Kim’s dad drove us around to take pictures all over Museum Campus and Millennium Park for a final stop. I really can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year!
We spent a lot of time around the Shedd located at: 1200 S Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL?
GO BEARS!!
Look at the air Kim got in those heels!!
museum campus engagement photo
we headed to Millennium Park for some photos in the fountain!
I love Rob in this one!
I did start the session by saying they should go in the fountain, and by the end of it, they knew it was a good idea!
and an after shot!
I hope you guys enjoyed these! Sorry for the long wait!!
I had a good time with Danilyn and Hoang at their wedding! A brides worst fear happened only during the ceremony: it rained on their wedding day! But by the time we got out to take pictures, the skies were clear (yet a bit overcast which was fine by me!) We started our grand photo tour at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
We actually got to go INSIDE the stadium! It was a lot of fun! I’m not a huge baseball fan but I imagine taking your wedding pictures there is an important step: 1060 W Addison St, Chicago
After our shenanigans at Wrigley we headed to Millennium Park right down the street from the Doubletree Mag Mile to finish up the wedding photography! We were short on time due to some hiccups, so I ran them through Millennium Park in no time! We were dropped off by Lurie Gardens and made our way to the Bean and down to the street and back in just a matter of 15 minutes! It was amazing! I’m a photograph ninja when I have to be! I don’t suggest only giving me 15 minutes but if I have to, I’ll make it work.
Their reception was at the Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile where they partied the day away:

I hope you enjoy this slideshow of your wedding photos!

Dani & Hoang, I enjoyed being the photographer for your wedding! I hope to talk to you again soon!
Dani and Hoang haven’t emailed me yet about seeing any of their pictures so I’m guessing they’ll LOVE this preview! I’m deep in wedding season now so you’ll be seeing a ton of things on the blog!
How cute was this idea?!
I’m so in love with this ring shot!
I have a lot more coming! Some engagements, some more weddings, some slideshows and my adorable nephew who’s only 4 days old! I’m also going to be putting the photobooth in a real life situation in a few weeks, so things may change with it after it’s been put through a real situation, but I’ll notify you of that via the blog or twitter!
I know Chuck and Heather have been (im)patiently waiting for their engagement pictures! We did them right in the heart of my crazy wedding weeks and I promised them soon(ish). We had a lot of fun roaming the city (before it got too hot and humid again, thanks Chicago, my allergies are dying!). They’re getting married not in Chicago but they wanted some of the main landmarks that they live by all the time! We ended up at Millennium Park again!
So the day turned out beautiful after our reschedule because of the rain and my poor foot (and yes, my foot is better now ) Anthony and Rebecca also brought along their little man to get some photos with him, if you want to do something like this I highly suggest a “wrangler” for the child or dog, it makes it easier for you to focus and enjoy yourself!
So here we go!
Hope you enjoy them! We had a great time photographing in Grant Park and Millennium Park, the flowers were just perfect this weekend for it! Millennium Park is also a wonderful place for wedding photos, there’s lots of nooks and crannies I take advantage of! It’s located at 201 E. Randolph Street Chicago IL
