I met Lucy and Pete and we just went everywhere! They’re holding their wedding up at Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake (which is a fabulous place for wedding photography!) so they wanted some really downtown pictures and really wanted to incorporate certain buildings into it! It’s always great to meet people before photographing their wedding! It’s nice to get to know the couple and have them know me, I’m generally relaxed and laid back and they had me on the end of a long day of engagements! I’m sure Lucy has been stalking my blog for this and I’m sure she’ll do the same for her wedding photos!
we started in Lincoln Park at the Lily Pond right there:
We then headed over to State Street/Michigan Ave to finish up the session!
I really love this one!!
Thanks for looking! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding Lucy and Pete! You both were a bunch of fun and laughs!
Whew, I’m still catching up but wanted to show you Anthony and Rebecca’s slideshow It was one of the HOT days in July, so hot that we all thought we were going to melt! But we all made it through and it was just a wonderful day with everyone!
I know Chuck and Heather have been (im)patiently waiting for their engagement pictures! We did them right in the heart of my crazy wedding weeks and I promised them soon(ish). We had a lot of fun roaming the city (before it got too hot and humid again, thanks Chicago, my allergies are dying!). They’re getting married not in Chicago but they wanted some of the main landmarks that they live by all the time! We ended up at Millennium Park again!
So I held off on this post until Gina and Mike got back from their long honeymoon! I didn’t want it to get lost in the fold, so without further ado, here’s some sneaks!
Lisa and Shawn were troopers. We got up at like 7am to do engagement photos because it was already around 85 degrees at 7am!! But we had fun and were out of there FAST and still hot and eaten by mosquitos (so that may have just been me, but whatever!) We met up in Crystal Lake for their pictures and they’re having their wedding just down the road at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake
I told you they had a sense of humor even in the heat!
So Val and Josh were troupers. We meant to go to the Morton Arboretum but they closed 30 minutes before we started. So I said, we could easily head to Cantigny about 5 miles away, no biggie on my part but I felt so bad since Val and Josh had picked the Arboretum! But they enjoyed the scenery and had NO idea that this place even existed!! Josh made the most hilarious faces to make Val laugh, they were fun (and yes Josh, THAT picture is in your gallery in color and black and white sorry Val!)
And there is more to come!! I’m almost caught up!! (well besides weddings, but really, that’s just the circle of life!) I really love shooting anything at Cantigny in Wheaton! It’s just a wonderful place to take pictures!
So I’m reminding everyone of the August 30th date!
The price is $250 and includes the images on a disc, editing, and an 8.5×11 20-side album!
