Whew, Kelli has only been harassing me for this since about Sunday after her wedding I did make her wait and thanks to some other events, this wasn’t up as early as I had hoped. I’m sure she’s been refreshing the page non-stop all day. Right? Hi Kelli!
Brandon and Kelli’s wedding was a lot of fun! I got to work with Cynthia for makeup which is one of my favorite things (that and putting her in slideshows and albums) and also got to see Shannon and Matt! Remember, they were the very FIRST couple to book me for their wedding, so they’ll always hold a special place in my life and we’re totally going to set up our husbands on a man-date. But back to this whole thing, Brandon is a ham. End of story, which made for some hilarious wedding photos, but we also got some very lovely ones as well. We started the day off at Cantigny and then moved onto the Abbington! I love them all! I really do! So enough talking about their wedding and onto the photos!
Oh Matt and Erika’s wedding was fun to say the least! With 2 of my other clients in the wedding party, we had a blast!! There were ups, there were downs but in the end everyone had a blast! Matt and Erika were champs the entire day! During the ceremony, one of their groomsman passed out and had to be taken to the ER to make sure he didn’t have a concussion. Thankfully, there were a few medical professionals at the wedding to help and make sure he was fine while the ambulance arrived! He returned for the reception at the Abbington though and he was fine! I had so much fun at their wedding and I know they’re really really really exited to see these pictures!! I’m sure they didn’t want to work today anyway…
did you miss the fabulous part 1? It was a picnic!
Part 2 is more along the lines of a more traditional one of my engagement sessions Megan is wearing one of her fabulous creations that are available on etsy and makeup was done by the fabulous Cynthia Sally!
This is part one of two obviously, this is the picnic portion of our shoot. I had always wanted to do a picnic shoot and Megan and Rich were definitely game for it! They even brought along Violet, there cute as a button puppy who was scared of me until I gave her treats, then I was her new-best-friend! Megan also owns MeganLimJewelry on Etsy and her stuff is fantastic! I love all her hand-made delicate items. I LOOOOOVE all of these!! Too hard to choose any real favorites, they all are!
Soledad and Kurt are getting married at the end of the month, which means that their wedding fast approaching! I’m very excited to capture their wedding day but we also squeezed in their engagement shoot. We shot at Cantigny, which you know I just love, and the grounds were pretty spectacular that weekend (the grounds change quite often). We did get eaten by mosquitoes but it was totally worth it. I love me some sunsety light which I love about Soledad’s and Kurt’s images!
Kerby and Chris were a fun couple to work with, they were very non-traditional in a lot of aspects. I also knew that their photos were very important to them! We didn’t have a lot of time to work with but with their ceremony and reception being at the Herrington, I knew downtown Geneva quite well They added lots of personal touches through their day and they even made all the paper flowers! And how can you not love those rainbow leopard print shoes!? Enough talking, it’s slideshow time.
Annette and Josh had a more traditional Polish reception! Not only did they party until 2am (I didn’t stay but assume that they continued on the celebration until then!) There was also LOTS of vodka on the tables! Lots of shots taken by guests (and even some people trying to get me to which I rejected!). Ok, onto the pictures!
Annette and Josh had a fun wedding day that ended in a lot of dancing! As with most weddings, there were some hiccups, it was hot, sunny and one of the groomsmen didn’t have pants for his tux! Luckily, pants were acquired in time for the ceremony! They decided to do a first look so that they could relax a bit and get some family portraits done before the wedding and so that we could go immediately to take pictures at nearby Worth Water Reclamation. Part 2 is coming later today!
Kerby and Chris’s wedding is approaching FAST! Like as in next Friday…no worries though! We did sneak in an engagement session and went to the location that Chris proposed at. It was a scorcher but evening light is probably my favorite ever. Lots of fun flare and a bit different from my normal engagement sessions! We had a lot of fun and Norah wanted nothing to do with me once she learned about hunting in the fields. She also had a giant tick on her, but the rest of us were safe! Ok, enough talking, more pictures.
Whew! Now comes the fun part, sorry for all the images, I just like to show everything that I can! If you haven’t heard, that Saturday, there was on and off torrential downpours and we got stuck in one outdoors! I only had SEVEN minutes with Jeremy and Megan! SEVEN! I usually like around 20 at least, but 7 is definitely a record. Their reception included lots of dancing as well! Enjoy Megan and Jeremy!
