Maureen and Gary are great people and great clients. Not only did they indulge me by going outside on a VERY cold day in April, they threw a great party and they were completely relaxed and themselves! When I had emailed Maureen earlier in the week, we had talked about rain locations and decided that if we needed to we’d just go to their favorite bar in Downers Grove, well it turned out to be REALLY cold, so we ended up at Emmett’s anyway! And I do love the photos from there! Maureen is also best friends with Lindsay Vito of Bella Flora (who has done the flowers for a few weddings I’ve shot!) and they’re always fabulous!

Mo and Gary were the perfect clients, they were themselves, they were in love and they trusted any of the crazy ideas that I had (and let me tell you, I have some crazy ideas). So without further ado, their slideshow!

Bryana and Deak are two that you may or may not have seen on my blog before! They were both at Stephanie and Daves wedding and Deak was in Erika and Matt’s wedding! So I’ve seen a lot of them and it’s been fun! We finally got around to doing their engagement pictures and it was so much fun! In fact, one of my favorite sessions to date! The color was perfect in Lincoln Park this time of year and I was so happy there was still leaves on the trees and it wasn’t too cold, though I did break out the UnderArmour for this one (yes, I have heat gear). We had a lot of fun and I really can’t wait for their wedding next year at one of my favorite places ever, Cantigny!

So without further ado, a nice little slideshow that’s now mobile ready! YAY! And just for you Bryana, the song is called Save Me ;)

Whew, Kelli has only been harassing me for this since about Sunday after her wedding ;) I did make her wait and thanks to some other events, this wasn’t up as early as I had hoped. I’m sure she’s been refreshing the page non-stop all day. Right? Hi Kelli!

Brandon and Kelli’s wedding was a lot of fun! I got to work with Cynthia for makeup which is one of my favorite things (that and putting her in slideshows and albums) and also got to see Shannon and Matt! Remember, they were the very FIRST couple to book me for their wedding, so they’ll always hold a special place in my life and we’re totally going to set up our husbands on a man-date. But back to this whole thing, Brandon is a ham. End of story, which made for some hilarious wedding photos, but we also got some very lovely ones as well. We started the day off at Cantigny and then moved onto the Abbington! I love them all! I really do! So enough talking about their wedding and onto the photos!

Robin and Monica were so much fun to work with! And they had zero bridal party, it was awesome! They instead decided to have their families be part of their ceremony and let everyone have fun on their wedding day while still incorporating them into their celebrations! It was a ton of fun with them and we had a gorgeous fall day. Monica isn’t too big into the autumnal colors but I think we worked them in nicely without being too fall! It was perfect, not too hot, not too cold and the rain stayed away! We actually did pictures at the same location they had their engagement session and I just love when couples do that, everything really comes full circle then! I’ll stop typing now and you can start watching, I know Monica probably won’t get any more work done today after this :) It’s ok, it’s late afternoon!

I’m saying goodbye to photographic prints and saying hello to fine art prints. It was an easy decision once I saw the outcomes and have a steady supplier of these.

Now you may ask what’s the difference? Well, the difference is that your fine art wedding print will be numbered, authenticated and a limited edition to start! Fine art papers come in a variety of substances and are green products like bamboo, sugarcane and more! The papers have a fiber in them and are truly archival. If you would like them more glossy like a traditional photo that is also possible.

You can get them in any size you want, they’ll be ready to frame and something for you to cherish forever. These are the standard sizes and pricing for them. We can also have these papers gallery wrapped (for the same price as the traditional gallery wrap for a limited time!).

Here are the normal prices:
8×10 – $60
11×14 – $80
16×20 – $120
20×30 – $200

Since I think everyone of my awesome clients should get one of these, I’m offering them for 50% off the normal prices until November 1! All holiday orders for prints need to be in by December 1, make your holiday shopping easy and get it out of the way now!

I’m also announcing a truly unique sign in option: the signed gallery wrap! My new local company will be able to deliver a gallery wrap to your reception from earlier in the day! The only way that we can really make this work though, is if you have a first look so that I have time to edit and send it over to them. Or what we can do is an engagement photo and have everyone sign it, and then I will take it back for you to get the final coats of sealer on it! Gallery wraps on the day of start at $350 for a 16×20 and if you want just a normal sign in with an engagement picture, then it will cost the normal price of $275.

Now onto the pictures!

Oh Matt and Erika’s wedding was fun to say the least! With 2 of my other clients in the wedding party, we had a blast!! There were ups, there were downs but in the end everyone had a blast! Matt and Erika were champs the entire day! During the ceremony, one of their groomsman passed out and had to be taken to the ER to make sure he didn’t have a concussion. Thankfully, there were a few medical professionals at the wedding to help and make sure he was fine while the ambulance arrived! He returned for the reception at the Abbington though and he was fine! I had so much fun at their wedding and I know they’re really really really exited to see these pictures!! I’m sure they didn’t want to work today anyway… :)

Mona and Chandu found me just a few months before their wedding day! Mona said one of the best compliments I could ever receive, that the people looked great in my photos, not just the things! Mona and Chandu had a very multi-cultural wedding, from their Hindu ceremony to some Chinese integration of items (and some Jewish too!). The food they had was amazing, Indian and Chinese!! Yum!! Their ceremony and reception were small located at The Seville in Streamwood and then after we went off to Volkening Lake in Schaumburg to take portraits of Mona and Chandu. They are very private people, so this slideshow is something they can show to their families and friends (don’t worry, they have another version, I just wanted to respect their privacy!). It was wonderful being able to photograph Mona and Chandu’s wedding day!

It seems just like the other day that I met Soledad and Kurt to do their engagement pictures! But here I am posting their wedding photos! It was a gorgeous day for their wedding, not too hot and not too humid which was a plus since they had an outdoor wedding at Arrowhead followed by their reception. I loved shooting at Arrowhead and their rooms are really spectacular when they’re set up! I also got to spend some fun time with Don from XL Entertainment, he’s one of my favorite dj’s! I loved all the touches that Soledad and Kurt put into their wedding and it all just looked spectacular!

Enjoy!

Part 1!

This is part one of two obviously, this is the picnic portion of our shoot. I had always wanted to do a picnic shoot and Megan and Rich were definitely game for it! They even brought along Violet, there cute as a button puppy who was scared of me until I gave her treats, then I was her new-best-friend! Megan also owns MeganLimJewelry on Etsy and her stuff is fantastic! I love all her hand-made delicate items. I LOOOOOVE all of these!! Too hard to choose any real favorites, they all are!
