Julie and Andrew were not originally my clients and I took their wedding from a fellow photographer who ended up with a due date the week before their wedding! Needless to say, I was happy to take it over and hoped that Julie and Andrew would be excited for me to photograph their wedding! They were, I walked in and Julie told me that she loved everything I did and it was all good! They had a inter-religious ceremony incorporating parts of Jewish and Catholic traditions that was very personal and a fun ceremony! Following the ceremony, we did some portraits as the sun was losing light but Julie and Andrew were so cute, so fun, and did whatever I asked! Enough talking, more slideshowing…

I’m going to start out by apologizing for the length of this slideshow, I probably should’ve broken it into 2 but I didn’t. So that’s just how it works! Jessica and Lane planned for just a wonderful day with lots of small details and personalized parts, it was obvious who they both were as a couple and their time for just portraits was amazing. I couldn’t narrow it down and they are some of my favorites from the year! The day was not without excitement though! There was lots of mosquitoes that attacked and even a fainting bridesmaid (but don’t worry, she’s ok!) and more, but they both took it in stride! During dinner (at which I sat at her parents table, she had warned me they were very southern and wanted to make sure I was taken care of, which was amazing! Love it!), anyway, I looked outside and saw a very yellow glow and grabbed Jessica and Lane to go out to what I thought was going to be a gorgeous sunset, we were about 15 minutes too early, but I’m SO glad we went out when we did. We had the large sunset sun glowing with amazing color, then it rained for about 30 seconds, and Jessica and Lane got to see the double rainbow on their wedding day. I seriously love that series! Ok enough talk, more pictures.

Soledad and Kurt are getting married at the end of the month, which means that their wedding fast approaching! I’m very excited to capture their wedding day but we also squeezed in their engagement shoot. We shot at Cantigny, which you know I just love, and the grounds were pretty spectacular that weekend (the grounds change quite often). We did get eaten by mosquitoes but it was totally worth it. I love me some sunsety light which I love about Soledad’s and Kurt’s images!
So I wonder how long Lissa’s been stalking my blog for part 2? Since part 1 went up? Most likely! Lissa and Phil’s reception was a ton of fun, and it was national Tequila day, so there was a bit of celebration! And honestly, anyone who dances to Apache at their wedding is my friend. So enough talking, more slideshowin’
