I had a blast with Colleen and Stephen on their engagement session! I met them near their Andersonville digs with their dog and we did some photos with her and then continued to walk around and see what we liked! It was a gorgeous day out and we took advantage. And well, the trees were at their peak flowering so you know I was all over that! So without talking on and on and on about how excited I am for their wedding (which I am!) here’s their lovely engagement session!

Ok, so I’m a BIT behind with this post, but I promise to make it totally worth it for Jen and Erik! I had a blast with them. They’re so much fun and laid back and their friends and family are the best. No really, they are! And they kept the dance floor packed pretty much all night long! Jen and Erik are so sweet together, you can just tell how much they love each other when you first meet them. And the fact that they’re meant for each other is even more so! There’s so much to say but as you know, I’m better with pictures than words!

Casondra and Bob – a preview

Oh my, this was a hard post to narrow down because this wedding was spectacular! So I didn’t do a great job of narrowing it down. And well, I owe them a peek since I’m sure they’re checking daily! I tried to get this done at the end of last week, but a cold hit our house hard, and I got the worst part I think! So I’m only a few days behind!

Casondra and Bob’s wedding was so much fun. So much fun! I can’t even tell you how much, you’ll have to wait for the slideshow because words do not do it justice! Though it was cold out, it didn’t stop us one bit! Nor the fact it was dark out too! We had a blast with their friends and families! I’ll just skip to the pictures now!

Aiden 9, 10 and Halloween

So I apparently never got to posting all of the month photos I did of Aiden! Whoops! I was busy playing catch up with the slideshows and if you were friends with me on facebook then you saw my albums, but not everyone is (and if you use my business email to friend me you get my dog’s facebook….yep, she’s a crazy one! but you can friend me if you want!). So anyway, here’s months 9, 10 and halloween! I’m going to post 11 and 12 tomorrow, promise. I took them….and then after he turned a year I slacked off and have a bunch that need editing. Whoops!

9 Months: this is when he really started to take off walking! He took his first steps the month before, but he really got the hang of it by 9 months

Gina and Kaba

I had a WONDERFUL time with Gina and Kaba! They were visiting Chicago and wanted their engagement pictures done which I thought was just so much fun. Their laughter is contagious and their love for one another is easily visible. They live apart now but their wedding will be in October! They actually met in college at St. Ambrose in Davenport (the school my brother went to actually!) and from there everything just fell into place. As usual, I’m much better with the picture telling than the writing, so here you go!

Mr. P’s 6 Month Photos

I kept these under wraps through the holidays because I knew they were using them as holiday cards and gifts so I didn’t want to spoil the surprise! And then I completely forgot about them but I’m SO excited to share them with you! 6 month photos are so much fun! And this family is just way too adorable!

I’m SO excited for this session! I’ve had a ton of newborns this year and I just can’t wait to show you them! Every session is very different so it’s fun to see the changes and of course this one is great because it incorporated their first baby, their dog! I’m a sucker for dogs, you know this. So it was fun to have a cute fluffy white dog and a tiny newborn! Mr. J’s parents are a wedding couple from this past year (you don’t have to do the math, Sara and Joe were just about halfway through the pregnancy when they got married and had just found out it was a boy that week!). I don’t always see my couples this soon after getting married but I was so happy to see Sara and Joe again! I loved every time I took their pictures and this session was not any different! They are so smitten with Mr. J and it shows!

First Look Moments!

I get asked a lot about first looks and whether or not to do them. I always leave that option ultimately up to the couple because it’s your wedding, not mine! I can work with whatever you give me but when there’s timing or sunlight issues, sometimes a first look isn’t a bad idea but not necessary at all! I will say that it is a very private moment for my couples a lot of the time. It’s a great time for them to talk with one another and get the jitters out. It’s never made the ceremony less meaningful. Here’s a couple of images from first looks so you can get an idea and if you have any questions on them, let me know!
