My annual best of contest! I’m sure you understand the delay but I wasn’t going to not do it! So here goes…winner gets a 16×24 canvas! And I couldn’t have gone out any other way! They were completely laid back and went with the flow and even though it was a bit cold, they didn’t seem to mind! They’re wonderful people who have an awesome dog who I still need to meet. Marjorie asked if we could hang out sometime after the wedding, I told her definitely! We had a great time at the wedding and it was so much fun! Their bridal party was ready to party from the start which always is fun! We stopped by a tavern in Long Grove for some quick pictures and then took our time to get to the reception and then things really started getting crazy! I’m not sure what happened after I left, but I’m not sure they want proof of that either! So enjoy your photos!

I’ve been so lucky to have such wonderful clients like them this year (and of course in years past)! Despite some hiccups (because really, what’s a wedding without at least one hiccup?!) we still had fun and got some amazing pictures! I’m completely obsessed with reflections these days and it was fun to shoot around some christmas lights in downtown Arlington Heights! Despite it being November, we had great weather and found some color still! So I hope you enjoy! They’re some of my favorite photos of the year!

Chelsea did tell me she was happy to wait since the pictures were the last part of the wedding to wait for, and I promise you, that it’s worth the wait! I had a blast with them and their intimate wedding was so much fun and the food was great! I love all the personal touches they had and how easy they were to photograph! We only had time for a couple of stops thanks to unpredictable Chicago traffic but we made it work! I hope you enjoy these photos!!

It was nice to see them again and they were just a blast! Not only that is that the ceremony was so personal and touching and you can definitely see it in their photos! I’m sure they’ve been waiting what seems like forever for this! But in my defense they did get stuck in a hurricane on their honeymoon so it’s been a bit delayed! There’s so much I can say but who needs to say anything when you have photos like these? Holly decorated the space beautifully, the sunflowers were from her parents house and her dad made all the vases and helped cut all the place holders, it was a very detailed wedding! Ok, I’ll be quiet now and let the photos do the talking :)

Caroline and Jason are a blast to be with, in fact, I’m pretty sure Caroline and I deal with the same person too. Jason even pulled out the “haha, you don’t care-a” Yeah, my husband does the same with the word care and Kara, so it was very funny when Jason did. So needless to say that Caroline and I have an immediate bond is very true! So without further ado, here’s their slideshow at the ever lovely Arrowhead (who by the way are awesome, the soup course was a tomato bisque, thanks to baby I can’t eat anything cooked tomato, I declined the soup and they brought me something else without me even asking! I was just going to pass and was ok with that, but for that, Arrowhead gets 4 thumbs up!)

We did it only a few days after they decided to hire me and well, we wanted some fall color, and it turned out amazing! What’s even better is their wedding photos! Their wedding was really a blast too! I’m so thankful to have amazing clients on my hands (even if I may have cut myself making a bustle out of safety pins). We even had time to just relax in their suite before the reception and most of the bridal party went to the zoo when I told them they could go back to the bus! Like seriously amazing? And they’ve been a blast! Sarah and Steve are wonderful, laid back and most of all, trust me to do my job. These make for some of my most favorite pictures of the year! And of course, anyone who dances with us is fun in my book! I loved their small intimate wedding at Winnetka Community House, it was just perfect and the table names were from Harry Potter (we sat at the Room of Requirement, very exciting things). Their ceremony was wonderful and meaningful and there wasn’t any rain (hooray!), their nieces were adorable too. Ok, enough about how much I love them and their wedding, onto pictures right? Right!
