So I’m going to have a series of guests blogs coming through the next week or so, today’s is about beauty and by the lovely Cynthia Sally! You can also check out her blog for different makeup tips and tricks!
Having a good skincare regimen is important to keep your skin looking great everyday but you especially want to make sure that your skin is perfect for your wedding day. Figure out your skincare regimen at least 6 months before the wedding date so you are not trying new products on your skin as the day comes closer.
Daily Regimen
Wash your face every morning and every night using a cleanser that your skin reacts well to. Give your facewash at least 2-3 weeks before choosing to switch to another one. Also moisturize every day with an oil-free moisturizer and start using eye cream. Always take off your eye makeup with a makeup remover and always wash your hands before touching your face.
Exfoliating
You should start exfoliating weekly to help aid in the shedding of the dead skin cells on your face. It will help keep the skin smooth and fresh. There are many home exfoliators that you can buy at beauty stores. If you are not sure what to use, ask your dermatologist or esthetician.
Microdermabrasion
If you have fine lines, large pores or coarse textured skin, microdermabrasion might be the way to go. It is more effective at removing the dead skin cells then any home exfoliator. Microdermabrasion can either be done at a spa by an esthetician or a dermatologist but always check their references to make sure you are dealing with a true professional. It usually takes 6-10 treatments before you really see a huge difference.
Waxing/Hair Removal
Start getting a feel for how your skin reacts to waxing and hair removal prior to the wedding. People with sensitive skin are prone to breakout after getting their eyebrows waxed so it is imperative that you figure out when the best time would be to get your brows waxed prior to the wedding. Never get an eyebrow wax on your wedding day, chances are you will still be red when you walk down the aisle!

Marisa and I have been planning for months about when we could do this session between work schedules and weather, we finally made it last Sunday! Marisa and Tim have been married for 2 years now and she was eager to get new pictures done with their dog Polly whom you may remember! I love Polly, she’s a goofy lab and you all know how I feel about goofy labs. We decided to do a right before sunset session in a forest preserve up near Milwaukee…and Wisconsin does not mess around with their preserves! It was more forest than I imagined 
But we worked it!

Kerby and Chris’s wedding is approaching FAST! Like as in next Friday…no worries though! We did sneak in an engagement session and went to the location that Chris proposed at. It was a scorcher but evening light is probably my favorite ever. Lots of fun flare and a bit different from my normal engagement sessions! We had a lot of fun and Norah wanted nothing to do with me once she learned about hunting in the fields. She also had a giant tick on her, but the rest of us were safe! Ok, enough talking, more pictures.

I’m sure I’ve been driving them nuts since I didn’t really include much on round 1…and I do that on purpose! It builds excitement right? Well you should be excited!! Anna and Ethan aren’t the type who want their photo taken for hours, they’re just not, and really I don’t think I am either, which makes my job fun because I get to show people that they are photogenic and can take great pictures, or in Anna and Ethan’s case, amazing
There are so many that I love from here and I could’ve spent a few hours shooting in one location with the sunflare for hours. Hours. But I digress. Half of what went on during the wedding, I couldn’t understand because it half of it was in Polish! But it was fun learning all the different traditions! I gotta give some more props to Emmett from Logi for being an awesome videographer and working so well with me! It was a lot of fun! Don’t worry Anna and Ethan, there’s lots more for you to see! I’m so excited about these images!!
