You knew I was going to dress up Ms. Isabelle for halloween, I mean, come on, it’s me and she really doesn’t care and secretly I think she likes it! Well, last year I got her a lobster costume for this year’s halloween (she was a bee hornet last year, antennae she did not like). But we always laugh about how I have a fear of crustaceans. Yep, a fear. I go into full panic mode only when I’m taunted with them, I don’t like the “feelers” they creep me out. Though I can still eat delicious crustaceans as long as I don’t have to see their heads or do any peeling. So David thought it was HILARIOUS I bought her a lobster costume, but it’s fluffy and doesn’t have feelers, so it’s all good. We ended up taking her by some friends and family’s houses and she met up with the other Belle and they tried to play, lobster costume totally acted as a shield.

I’m actually here and been just busy busy busy with albums! Between getting them designed, changed, or anything else :) Last week’s open houses were a success and I saw about half of my couples! If you’re still wondering about albums, you MUST get them ordered and in by NOVEMBER 15th for guaranteed holiday delivery, any orders placed after this date may incur additional shipping or rush fees if you want it by the holidays! If you’re sitting on a design you must get me the changes by November 3rd so that there is enough time to turn it around and order it!

And I don’t have a fridge :( Ours died so I’m kind of scatter brained without it! But of course I shall leave you with picture of my adorable Isabelley! Popular dates for 2011 are getting booked up quickly!

I’m saying goodbye to photographic prints and saying hello to fine art prints. It was an easy decision once I saw the outcomes and have a steady supplier of these.

Now you may ask what’s the difference? Well, the difference is that your fine art wedding print will be numbered, authenticated and a limited edition to start! Fine art papers come in a variety of substances and are green products like bamboo, sugarcane and more! The papers have a fiber in them and are truly archival. If you would like them more glossy like a traditional photo that is also possible.

You can get them in any size you want, they’ll be ready to frame and something for you to cherish forever. These are the standard sizes and pricing for them. We can also have these papers gallery wrapped (for the same price as the traditional gallery wrap for a limited time!).

Here are the normal prices:
8×10 – $60
11×14 – $80
16×20 – $120
20×30 – $200

Since I think everyone of my awesome clients should get one of these, I’m offering them for 50% off the normal prices until November 1! All holiday orders for prints need to be in by December 1, make your holiday shopping easy and get it out of the way now!

I’m also announcing a truly unique sign in option: the signed gallery wrap! My new local company will be able to deliver a gallery wrap to your reception from earlier in the day! The only way that we can really make this work though, is if you have a first look so that I have time to edit and send it over to them. Or what we can do is an engagement photo and have everyone sign it, and then I will take it back for you to get the final coats of sealer on it! Gallery wraps on the day of start at $350 for a 16×20 and if you want just a normal sign in with an engagement picture, then it will cost the normal price of $275.

Now onto the pictures!

Peggy and Eric are a blast to be around! They’re so much fun, always laughing and it was more like I was walking around talking to friends instead of walking around with clients taking their photos…which is the BEST part. I can’t wait until their wedding in March! We’re hoping for a lovely March day and either way, they’re getting dragged outside for a short bit :P

did you miss the fabulous part 1? It was a picnic!

Part 2 is more along the lines of a more traditional one of my engagement sessions :) Megan is wearing one of her fabulous creations that are available on etsy and makeup was done by the fabulous Cynthia Sally!

Part 1!

This is part one of two obviously, this is the picnic portion of our shoot. I had always wanted to do a picnic shoot and Megan and Rich were definitely game for it! They even brought along Violet, there cute as a button puppy who was scared of me until I gave her treats, then I was her new-best-friend! Megan also owns MeganLimJewelry on Etsy and her stuff is fantastic! I love all her hand-made delicate items. I LOOOOOVE all of these!! Too hard to choose any real favorites, they all are!

This was a fun session for me and it just happens that I love talking with Brooke and Kevin (which was proved by chatting on the side of the road after the session for about 2 hours…sorry to talk your ears off!!!). I’ve known Brooke for over a year now and we have a blast together. We literally just talk and talk and talk, and we both work from home so we have the same silly stories about human contact and needing it eventually and it’s sad when it’s only the barista or cashier when you pick up lunch! I loooooved so much about their session and even got to try out my brand new digital infrared camera!! Yes! Infrared, it’s a lot of fun and has a charming quality to it! I’ve been using it here and there at my sessions and weddings, it’s very unique!

Soledad and Kurt are getting married at the end of the month, which means that their wedding fast approaching! I’m very excited to capture their wedding day but we also squeezed in their engagement shoot. We shot at Cantigny, which you know I just love, and the grounds were pretty spectacular that weekend (the grounds change quite often). We did get eaten by mosquitoes but it was totally worth it. I love me some sunsety light which I love about Soledad’s and Kurt’s images!
