oh my how the last month has flown by!! I never got around to sharing Aiden’s newborn photos that Jessica and I shot in late December!! I’ll post more now that things have calmed down a bit!

If you’ve noticed, I haven’t been around much and I have good reason…

Aiden Michael was born on 12/24/11 at 2:06am. He’s our little Christmas present and is sure keeping us on our toes!

Forgive me if I take a bit longer to answer emails (I’m trying to get back to you within 24 hours!) but don’t hesitate to contact me! I will get back to you! And if you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I’m happy to talk to you via email, phone or even skype, we can also work out a meeting.

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and new year! I’ll be posting more photos of our little man and also the best of contest. So be on the lookout!

So I completely forgot and well was a bit busy to put these up but every year I make David do a photoshoot! I tell him it’s good practice and I love having new pictures! This year was more about me because well, you know, the whole pregnant thing! I know I haven’t talked much about it but I’m due January 3rd so just right around the corner! I’ve been trying to coax the little guy out for about a week now but he’s not listening! I had Jessica who’s my 2nd shooter 98% of the time come and take these (and I did some headshots for her too, I’ll show you soon!) and I love them! She’s going to do a guest post here soon so be on the lookout! I’m sorry the bog has been quiet, I’ve been preparing for the baby to come and doing all the not fun behind the scenes stuff that isn’t shooting like taxes and organization and backing up. It’s not a blast! So without further ado, here’s me, in all my pregnantness, I’d show you a picture now, but it’s like I’m smuggling a watermelon out of the store. Yikes! I have a couple more sessions to put up for your viewing pleasure and yes, we will still have the end of the year contest Don’t worry!

(and yes, I’m posting this as a hope that I do in fact go into labor, every single time I’ve posted a maternity session, the baby is born within a couple days. ::fingers crossed::)

coming clean….

First you get to see Isabelle, isn’t she cute?! Sorry she’s been lacking on the blog, she’s been busy sleeping and playing frisbee much to stand for photos for me! And I’ve been working pretty hard!

Ok, now that you saw her, you see what’s up! I’m pregnant! I’ve been in denial for a couple of weeks that no one could tell (despite me having to wear maternity pants, which are the best thing ever really) and that I just looked like I strategically gained weight in my stomach area…well, the dog’s out of the cage now! There’s no NOT realizing what’s going on We’re very excited to welcome a new something into our lives and for Isabelle to be a big sister (we even made a shirt for her, HA). I’m due 1/3/12 and can’t believe I’m almost halfway through! In a little over 2 weeks, we find out if it’s a boy or a girl or puppies. Isabelle is banking on puppies. What does this mean? Not much except I’ll be on kind of leave from mid-December-sometime in March(?) But it’s cold then anyways and I’ll finish up weddings well before my doc tells me I have to and there’s not much in change right now, all that’s changed is that I eat more often and drink more water! And all holiday urgent orders for albums and such should be done prior to that anyway (more coming on the dates those will be due!). So that’s all I have for you tonight!

Hello everyone, I’m still here, and just busy with emails, consults and scheduling stuff! It’s AWESOME out for engagement pictures and I’m happy to have several coming up (and an amazing one to blog! You’ve seen part of it on facebook though!). I have ONE spot left for a 2011 wedding and am starting to book 2012, I will only take 20 weddings on each year so prime dates are going fast so email me! If you want an engagement session, send me an email and we’ll get you all set up as well!

Happy Birthday Miss Isabelle!!!

So you all know I love my dog way too much. Yes, I celebrate birthday and the ever important “gotcha-day” too! Yesterday was Isabelle’s made up birthday as we don’t really know when she was born but we knew right about the time that she was so we made it March 1 to make it easy on us! Easy it is! I can’t believe my little puppy is already 2! She’s kind of a chunker because of winter but slimming down fast now that she can run and not slip on snow! Her favorite things include: nylabones, frisbees and food in general. I baked her a cupcake for later that night and even sang her a song (much to my husband’s dismay). She also got a delicious can of Wellness instead of just dry food, lucky duck! And of course, fun new toys!!! You’ll see what she does most days…eat, play, sleep. Best day ever.

I love my little ragamuffin! So without further ado, here’s some images from the day, some aren’t in focus, some are, I don’t care, I love that dog even if it got a bit blurry!

Puppies!

And maybe some people…a few weeks ago I wanted to do a session, just something as the dog and the husband were not willing to budge much on the whole thing. HA. So Anna contacted me and said they needed some more pictures and while we attempted to get pictures of everyone and then the dogs just weren’t having any of it, and it was cold out so we got some funny ones of each of the dogs! The brown dogs (also known as the brownies to Anna) are available for adoption! One is male and one is female, both are pretty docile and would be good in a house that doesn’t have young kids as they are a bit older! If you’re interested in adopting one of the sweet things, email me and I’ll hook you up with Anna!

as much fun you can have….

with all this snow! I really don’t like winter, I hate the way snow crunches under my feet so I never like to go out in it and generally stay home! I know you’re tired of all this snow talk, but these pictures are pretty hilarious. David said that all he wanted to do was jump in a drift and since ours are about 5 feet, we decided to do it! And of course, Isabelle LOVED that we were outside with her and playing in the snow. She had face-planted earlier when she didn’t realize how big the drifts were! Ah fun. So look at my husband, acting silly. I hope you all stayed safe and warm during the blizzard and continue to! My husband has mad hops. I do not.

Walls, Frames and Albums OH MY!

So on this lovely snowy day I was waiting so very impatiently for my new sample album and my new frames to come in! You remember those delicious totally different frames? Yep, I ordered some and I looooove them.

First up, since I’m not a hypocrite when it comes to putting images on your walls, I’m showing you mine! Disregard the lovely amount of stuff around. I’m not a house cleaner all the time First up, the Ode to Belley as David calls it. I do love that dog…it’s consisted of a lot of small to medium sized images. It’s a BIG wall as you can see. I hope to fill it one day!

Now for above the fireplace, all canvas. I have a love affair with canvas.

Ok, now to the new stuff! THE FRAMES! Oh wow do I love these!! They’re just wonderful. They definitely make a big impact on the wall and the last picture is the 11×14 frame next to a 16×20 canvas. So if you’re more of a framed person than canvas, this is a great answer for you! They’ll look amazing on the wall when filled!!

And finally my new album! I’ve been waiting for this for awhile and it finally came in today! I LOVE this album. It’s printed on a heavy matte fine art paper instead of photographic, making it more like a coffee table high end book. It’s put together by hand and the entire thing is green (including the energy used to make it!). The colors are great! The best part? The MINIMUM amount of sides is 100!!! That’s 50 spreads, that’s a HUGE amount and not only allows your pictures to be bigger but for you to include a lot of photos of your day!

Until tomorrow! I’ll have cute dogs for you then I’m off to make cookies, want one?
