Alya and Hal wanted more of a winter themed engagement session but it hadn’t snowed at all and they wanted pictures for their holiday cards! Who knew that November and December in Chicago would be so non-snow and kind of tolerable as far as weather goes?! We had no clue! We’re just happy we didn’t get rained out! That would’ve been horrible! We started off at State Street and then headed to Millennium Park which still had trees filled with color even though it was the end of November, that’s just craziness! I can’t wait for Alya and Hal’s fabulous Chicago wedding next year! It’s sure to be a blast and just as wonderful as they are!

Brittany and Mike are also another fabulous 2012 couple who wanted Fall pictures! We chose downtown Long Grove because it’s adorably cute and really it is! I just love it down there and there’s always some wonderful things to photograph around! Brittany and Mike live in Indiana and were a referral from past awesome clients! I think we laughed the whole session! They were a blast to be around!
Lauren and Jim are getting married next year and after their engagment session, I can’t wait! They wanted something Fall related so we stopped by a pumpkin patch first and it was a bit crazy there! We ended up going then to a nearby forest preserve in Long Grove and it was perfect! The leaves held on for us! So very exciting! So here’s some lovely Fall photos, I just love sessions with color, it’s hard to turn anything black and white!
I’ve met almost all of Caroline and Jason’s extended family and finally got to do their engagement session! After some debating, we decided on Cantigny (one, because I love it and they’re so no fuss there, who could ask for anymore and two, because boys like tanks). I really can’t wait for Caroline and Jason’s wedding which is tomorrow!! Caroline and I bonded over tv shows we’re kind of forced to watch. They’re both fun and in love and I got some awesome photos and well, you see for yourself!
I’m so late on this post but it’s still a good one! Louise and Alan got married two Friday’s ago, yes you heard that right! We did this session at the end of August but I’m just getting around to blogging (don’t worry, they have their pictures already!). Louise wanted to do a picnic type shoot first so we did! And she even brought tea cups! Such a cute idea and even though Alan was a bit skeptical, he did get to eat cupcakes, so all was well! We then wandered over to Millennium Park where we it was perfect! And they even got in the water in Lurie Gardens, LOVE IT! I’m so excited for you to see their fabulous wedding that will be on the blog later this afternoon!! It’s catch up day!
Amy and Orin’s wedding is just around the corner in August and I can’t wait for it! You’ll be very excited to see it too! We met on one of these sweltering days and it was a blast! They were out in the suburbs so we chose Redfield Estates in Glenview as the backdrop and they both loved it! It’s really a lovely large location and the pictures were perfect, despite being soaked by the end of the session! So without further ado…
I can’t say how much I love these photos! Michele and Bryce chose to do their engagement session in downtown Lake Geneva because it was where the actual engagement happened, I love when clients choose a place special to them! Even though it was BLAZING hot, they looked perfect, I on the other hand was soaked! They are fun, loving and just all around really special people. I’m so very excited about their wedding in November, it’s going to be a blast!!
For Chelsea and Jerrod’s engagement session they chose the South Pond area of Lincoln Park and it’s a lovely area! We started out VERY early in the morning to avoid the crowds and it was such a wonderful idea because we pretty much had the park to ourselves! It’s funny, all of my couples that say that they’re awkward and don’t know what to do, are the ones who are the easiest and the most photogenic without any coaching! (No worries though, I can help anyone along!) I can’t wait for their late October wedding!
