I know Chuck and Heather have been (im)patiently waiting for their engagement pictures! We did them right in the heart of my crazy wedding weeks and I promised them soon(ish). We had a lot of fun roaming the city (before it got too hot and humid again, thanks Chicago, my allergies are dying!). They’re getting married not in Chicago but they wanted some of the main landmarks that they live by all the time! We ended up at Millennium Park again!
So I promised this a few days ago and fell short! I have so much going on that I didn’t just want to skip through the slideshow and give it to Gina and Mike without it being just right…so there was a bit of a wait! So without any more words, here you go!
So I held off on this post until Gina and Mike got back from their long honeymoon! I didn’t want it to get lost in the fold, so without further ado, here’s some sneaks!
I’m thinking about switching to a blogsite, I’ll still have galleries, still have proofing abilities, but ONE place instead of two. What do you all think? Good idea? Bad idea? Indifference?
I thought I’d throw this out to you all since you are the ones coming to it and reading it! Leave your vote in the comments!
Oh it’s been forever since I shared pictures of my little baby! Well she’s actually not so little anymore but she’s super cute! I had to post because Pam from BigDoggyBling just sent me her collars and I LOVE them! She has a martingale in this great dot fabric. Check out them out here what’s even better is that some of the proceeds go to a rescue organization! I love that! Also mad props to April Ziegler as I won these from a contest on her blog I pale in comparison to her dog stuff! It’s awesome!
Ok, enough about that, time for the pictures of the Isabelle!
(ignore the weeds/prairie grass…I’m shooting weddings not gardening!)
So you want to add on a photobooth to your wedding, they’re a lot of fun and can get a bit crazy too but you don’t want to spend too much on it, well now, you can add on the photobooth to your wedding package!
Let me go through the details for you:
I have a touchscreen tablet PC that is dedicated solely for the photobooth – so your guests control things by TOUCHING the screen – how cool is that?!
It shows you what you’re taking a picture of and then does everything for you!
There’s 3 different setups for the pictures, at the end you get the digital files for it and the compilations.
You can decide to have prints or no prints (no prints cost less obviously but come on, more fun!)
I’ll be there to check on it throughout the night and it would leave when I do (so if you have me for 8 hours, it leaves when I’m done)
AND I forgot in the original post, I have a backdrop to bring as well, just a simple black (other things we can discuss!) and a table and a bunch of fun props!
It really doesn’t take up much room and easily put in a corner of your room!
The normal cost for printing (which includes 300 prints) is $550
the cost for no prints is $300
Now since this is my first offering of this, I will take $100 off the printing cost to make it $450 BUT you have to book it by the end of August to get that special price, otherwise it’s the regular price!
Here’s some examples me and Isabelle coughed up for you! You can choose color, black and white or sepia as the effect!
(and forgive me, I did these really close to me! Very small space!)
So you get an idea, we can put your name and date down and they can write messages to you too! How awesome is that?!
So I often get the question of what should I wear to engagement sessions?! And while there isn’t one answer, I thought I’d throw together some outfits to show you! These are merely suggestions and don’t have to be taken literally and they’re not for every body type, so adapt them if you need to!
Let’s start with the casual type: Jeans and nice shirts, all of these are from www.oldnavy.com with the exception of the heels being from target!
Now the casual dressy: I have two items for the boys and a few for the girls. If you can’t get your fiance to wear plaid shorts, don’t worry, I don’t think I could make that happen either! But some guys would definitely do it. Girls: gap.com Boys: gap.com and oldnavy.com (shirts)
Dressy look: Dress and shoes from White House|Black Market, jewelry from target. Men’s clothing from Gap.com
I hope this helps everyone understand ways to dress for engagement sessions! You want to match but not be matchy matchy. A little color somewhere is always your friend! There’s nothing wrong with wearing a black sweater with some colored jewelry or a colorful tank underneath. Don’t worry about matching colors with your fiance directly, just make sure they’re in the same color family, so shades work (so a light blue with a navy works).
