{sneak!} Beth and Tom | Chicago Wedding Photographer
Posted on August 28, 2009
Beth and Tom moved their wedding date up by a year but that didn’t stop them from having a good time. Kristen of Kio Kreations did the flowers, Czarina of the Chair Couture did the linens and I can honestly say that these two vendors are some of my favorites! I always know I’ll get some gorgeous flowers and great linens!
Ok, enough of that, here’s a small preview!

Their wedding was on what could be one of the hottest days of the year! That didn’t stop them or their guests! They got a ice cream truck!!

Hope you had a fantastic honeymoon!

{engagement} Karen and Greg | Chicago Engagement Photographer
Posted on August 28, 2009
Karen and Greg have probably been checking relentlessly for their blog post! Their schedule unfortunately hit mine during the pretty rough season of August! But now that that’s over, I had to get out their engagement session! I had a lot of fun with them as they even survived my golf cart driving! Karen and I were talking and were joking about me being the adopt-a-friend for a day when it comes to weddings, which is VERY true! I’m with you from usually the beginning of your day while you get into your dress through the heat or cold or rain or whatever! Karen joked that she hired me because she knew she could deal with me all day, HA! I am pretty laid back for sure. We got their session in just in time before the skies opened up and it started raining!
Their session was located at Kemper Lakes located at 24000 North Old McHenry Road
Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047-8922 (847) 320-3450 Kildeer/Hawthorn Woods IL. They had their shower there since the room was too small to host their large wedding! They took advantage of the gorgeous location for their engagement session! It would be just a wonderful place to have a wedding I’m sure and it was a dream to photograph.

Doubletree Mag Mile Wedding Photographer | Dani & Hoang

I had a good time with Danilyn and Hoang at their wedding! A brides worst fear happened only during the ceremony: it rained on their wedding day! But by the time we got out to take pictures, the skies were clear (yet a bit overcast which was fine by me!) We started our grand photo tour at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
We actually got to go INSIDE the stadium! It was a lot of fun! I’m not a huge baseball fan but I imagine taking your wedding pictures there is an important step: 1060 W Addison St, Chicago
After our shenanigans at Wrigley we headed to Millennium Park right down the street from the Doubletree Mag Mile to finish up the wedding photography! We were short on time due to some hiccups, so I ran them through Millennium Park in no time! We were dropped off by Lurie Gardens and made our way to the Bean and down to the street and back in just a matter of 15 minutes! It was amazing! I’m a photograph ninja when I have to be! I don’t suggest only giving me 15 minutes but if I have to, I’ll make it work.
Their reception was at the Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile where they partied the day away:
300 E. Ohio Street, Chicago, Illinois, United States 60611
I hope you enjoy this slideshow of your wedding photos!

{sneak!} Shannon and Desiree | Chicago Wedding Photographer
Posted on August 27, 2009
So Shannon and Desiree probably have been waiting what seems like FOREVER for this glimpse! I apologize! Their wedding was super laid back, super intimate and all of their friends and families were there and it was a lot of fun! Shannon and Desiree also are very sarcastic, just like me, so we’d razz each other all day long whether it was at one of their engagement sessions or on the day of their wedding. Total fun for me! So without further ado…

this is why I love having a 2nd shooter along! My view:

my 2nd’s view:

to this day, this cake cracks me up!! First off, the frosting was a coral color instead of red. Second, a giant chunk was missing from the back (you can see it in the corner). Third, the design was NOT what they ordered. And finally, that’s supposed to be celtic knotwork, instead, it’s well…interesting! They took it with stride by the end of the night though! We’re going to submit it to cakewrecks…I have some sweet closeups.

Hope you enjoyed the small preview! The slideshow tells the story much better (coming soon!)
